Fishing
Trip
We will be offering two
options for fly fishing. Experience fly anglers will enjoy and excursion
to
take place on the 40-acre Shingle Pond (parallel to Shingle Creek), which
sits on the most remote section of Grande Lakes. Here, guests board Hyde
Drift boats alongside an ORVIS-endorsed guide team and fish the private
waters of Shingle Pond, where fly fishing enthusiasts have the chance to
reel in trophy Largemouth Bass. Guests also have an opportunity to spin or
fly fish two miles of Shingle Creek on the Headwaters to the Everglades.
During their fly fishing adventure, guests also can catch a glimpse of
bobcats, deer and wild turkey roaming at the shoreline.
Novice angles will head
to the casting pond for hands on casting instruction. After
perfecting their skills, they will head to the picturesque Shingle Pond to
enjoy fly fishing for Trophy Largemouth Bass.

downturn of the early 1980's does not compare to the environment we find
ourselves in today. As a factor you have to be able to consistently block
